Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has issued an important notification for the public following the laying of a new drainage line in Karelibaug area of Vadodara city. The road from Karelibaug LT Circle to Muktananda Circle will be closed due to the laying of a new drainage line. A one-way arrangement has been made for traffic on this road from February 21 till the work is completed. At the same time, there is a strict ban on parking two-wheelers or four-wheelers near roadside food vendors or stalls. At the same time, the public is requested not to enter the restricted area and maintain a safe distance due to the risk of accidents due to heavy operation and heavy machinery. Along with this, work has been started on the traffic jammed Gotri Road in the western part of the city, due to which motorists have been asked to use alternative roads. The main road from Yash Complex to Harinagar Bridge Junction in the area will be closed due to operations. The use of this road can be dangerous due to the movement of heavy machinery, materials and labour for the new drainage line here. As per the requirement of the work, the road from Yash Complex to the junction under Harinagar Bridge will be closed in a phased manner. Motorists will have to use the remaining portion of the carriageway or other alternate routes with caution. The drainage project branch of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation has appealed to the people not to go to the restricted place for security purposes and to cooperate with the administration.
