Vadodara: Despite repeated incidents of drowning at three picnic spots near Vadodara, innocent people are losing their lives due to the lack of awareness of the system.
The highest number of drowning incidents have taken place in Mahisagar at Lanchanpur in Savli taluka, however, a large number of tourists are flocking there. Similarly, there have been several incidents of drowning at Mahisagar at Kotana beach near Vadodara city and at Mahina check dam at Sindhrot.
It is noteworthy that despite the fact that there have been more than 200 incidents of drowning in the above places in the last two decades, the administration is satisfied with just putting up warning boards.
