The three-day Chintan Shivir of the Revenue Department was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi at Trimandir in Adalaj. District Collectors and Revenue officials from across the State have come together in this Shivir with the theme "Collaborate, Innovate and Transform for Better Land Governance". At the beginning of the programme, the Chief Minister made a sharp remark, "If there is a Chintan Shivir, why is everyone worried?" The chief minister stressed on the role of collectors and said that they have vast powers and those powers should be used for people oriented works. "Reflect on your work every 15 days, don't tarnish the image of the entire department because of one or two people," he said. He said that in programs like SWAGAT Online, the questions of the citizens reach directly to them, so the officers should solve the problems in advance so that people feel satisfied. Motivating the officers for a sensitive administration, the Chief Minister said, "No person who comes to the office should hesitate, if you work with a smiling face, then the applicant will be happy." Minister of State for Revenue Sanjay Singh Mahida said that the state government considers the administration as service to the citizens and is committed to solving the problems of the last man. Faceless and paperless governance has been implemented through digital initiatives like e-DHARA, IORA. Transparency has been increased by adopting the 'zero deal' policy in land allotment, due to which Gujarat has become an attraction for global investors. Appreciating the work of the revenue department, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Das said that the administration is being strengthened with technology and transparency.
