City Anchor: 31 days, 9 operations and security of thousands of passengers: Luggage worth Rs 2.71 lakh returned to passengers, 3 innocent lives saved

Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Rajkot Division of Railways has created an amazing history of service in just 31 days of January 2026. Under 'Sewa Hi Sankalp' campaign, RPF has set an example of security as well as human sensitivity which has won the hearts of passengers. RPF team has achieved remarkable success through various 9 operations in the month of January. RPF, acting in exceptional agility, retrieved 26 passengers' belongings valued Rs. 2,71,589 from stations and trains under 'Operation Amanat' and returned them to their rightful owners. They have brought happiness back to many homes by reuniting 3 missing children under 'Operation Nanhe Farishte' and 1 separated person under 'Operation Dignity' with his family. Thus, the safety of thousands of passengers has been given priority by conducting 9 operations in 31 days. RPF conducted 9 operations: Educating passengers about rules and precautions to be taken 1. - Operation Amanat: 26 passengers were brought back approx. Rs 2,71,589 at stations and trains under this drive. 2. Operation Nanhe Farishte: 3 missing children safely traced and handed over to their families 3. - Operation Rail Suraksha: In an operation to curb theft of railway property, 03 accused were arrested. 4. Operation Time Table: Acting on incidents of illegal chain pulling, 49 cases were registered and 29 accused were arrested and legal action was taken under the Railways Act. 5. Operation Availability: Swift action was taken against 01 person involved in black marketing of railway tickets. 6. Operation Dignity : 01 reunites a separated person with his family. 7. Operation Yatri Suraksha: 02 accused were arrested in 02 cases of theft of passenger baggage. 8. Operation Jeevan Raksha: A woman who was stuck between the platform and the train while boarding a moving train was rescued. 9. Operation Jan Jagran: Awareness programmes were conducted on topics such as not crossing railway tracks, not pelting stones, drug de-addiction, women safety and human trafficking.
