New generation of new sarpanches: The girl ran a campaign to beat the veteran leaders, the divyang sarpanch said, 'I will not let it pass on the village that has passed on me'.

8,000 villages in Gujarat have received new droughts. The result of this time was that in many places the youth have become sarpanches. Somewhere college-going girls and somewhere degree holders have become sarpanches. With this, it seems that a new trend of entry of youth into Gujarat politics has started. In this election, the youth campaign was also going haywire. Somewhere on social media, a campaign was run by making videos somewhere. So someone attracted the voters by showing a plan to solve the problem of the village without giving public greed. The felicitation ceremony of the newly elected sarpanches was held in the presence of CM Bhupendrabhai Patel at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Divya Bhaskar interacted with the young sarpanches on this occasion, from the experience of contesting elections to their upcoming vision. First of all, we spoke to Dilipbhai Solanki, the young sarpanch of Navakhal village in Anklav taluka of Anand district. Dilipbhai himself is a divyang. They may not have the vision to look at but have a very long-term vision with thought. He has been raising his voice through social media since 2018 about the problems and corruption of the village. The result of this fight was that it was the villagers who made them claim and win for the post of sarpanch. Dilipbhai says, 'I started the real thing in 2018. He used to talk about people's questions live on social media. Not only this, he also solved people's problems through social media. He used to give benefits of schemes like widow assistance, old age pension etc. to the people. Apart from this, he used to raise his voice against corruption in the works wherever there was corruption in our village." 'I will live up to the trust of the villagers' Dilipbhai further said, 'During this fight, I felt that if I had to become the sarpanch, then only the village would be developed in the true sense and after that I decided to fill the form. It is because of my fight that the villagers have reposed their faith in me and voted. I have not spent a single rupee in the elections. From my experience, I will live up to the trust of the villagers. Inspired by whom did you get into politics? In response, Dilipbhai said, 'I have come into politics not from any person but inspired by the problems of my village. There are many types of dilemmas in the village. And I felt that if my village has to be made a smart and digital village, Then I have to come into politics and inspired by this, I have come into politics. As a divyang person, what was the difficulty in raising voice against the corrupt? In response to this question, Dilipbhai said, 'I had many problems, it is really difficult to do politics. A police complaint was also lodged against me two-three times when I was opposing the wrong people. When I was contesting elections, my opponents used to abuse me a lot, but I don't have to say all those things too much. I will definitely say that I will not let what has happened to me pass on my village. Apart from this, when I used to go to the government office, I was sometimes treated badly because of being a divyang. But I never lost," he said, adding, "No one should think that if the situation is bad, then fall back. But you should think twice as much as your goal. Where does Dilipbhai see himself ten years later? To which he replied, "It is all for the voters to decide how far they will take me. If they have their support, I will also become an MLA. I want to take Anklav to a place where i can hit big cities as well," she said, adding that the 24-year-old, who is a lawyer in Vadwasa village in Sabarkantha district's Prantij taluka, has become sarpanch. We had a conversation with newly appointed sarpanch Satishaben Jagdishchandra Leuva. Satishaben says, 'I have done LLB and LLM after doing BSc. When I was living in the village, I saw that the system of primary education was not good. The children had to go for provincial studies. We may be talking about digital and modern India, but even today, it is a big question for girls to come out of their homes and go to study or work in the villages. 'Due to lack of arrangements, many girls could not study further' Many other girls could not study further as they did not have this system. "I had to come to Ahmedabad after studying till Class XII in the province. Of all the students studying with me, only one could come to Ahmedabad to study and get a master's degree. Due to lack of arrangements, many other girls could not study further. 'Although I was not already scheduled to contest the election, but on the next day of the nomination form, when I met the youth of the village, they said that the sarpanch should be made by a young man. He asked me to come forward for this. Then I decided to fill the form for the sarpanch election." 'People have appreciated my campaigning' "I made a video of every small problem in the village and explained how it can be solved. I had circulated this video to the people. Apart from this, videos explaining what works I want to do for the village were also made and sent to the people. This kind of unique camping was carried out, which was appreciated by the people. Apart from this, I also did offline camping. I went from house to house and met people. Even during the rainy season, I kept an umbrella with me and made public contact with each person and explained my point to them. Bhagat Singh said that the job of the students is definitely to study first. But if you can't solve the problem around you through your knowledge, then that knowledge is useless.' After becoming sarpanch, she was shocked by the phone call. Recalling an incident, she said, "After winning the election, I got a call from a journalist and without asking any question, said' Can you talk to your husband?' Then I asked him why i wanted to talk to my husband. So he said that I want to talk to your husband about you becoming sarpanch. After this, I replied to him and said that the first clarification I should make is that I am unmarried. I have become sarpanch on the basis of my ability and vision. Even if I was married, I would have talked, not my husband.' 'We talk about bringing women forward.' But there are many villages where women become sarpanches, but all their work is done by their husbands." Inspired by 'Panchayat' web series On the question of 'Panchayat' web series, he said, 'Panchayat' series has very well presented the true real reality of the village. In which you can see that the sarpanch could not go to the national anthem first but after that he did not give up and strengthened himself and decided to sing the national anthem. There are many such inspirations through such series." Dhruv Panchal, who has four degrees in Sathamba village in Bayad taluka of Aravalli district, has become sarpanch. He left his job in Ahmedabad city and chose village life. Dhruv Panchal says, 'After seeing very good arrangements in Ahmedabad, when I used to go to the village on vacation, I always saw the problems there. It was very important to take initiative to solve this basic problem. I had to tell people that there could be a bright future in the village too, so I decided to go back to the village. Seeing my integrity and honesty, people have encouraged me and appointed me as sarpanch." 'If you want to get something, you have to give up something' In response to a question about leaving a good life in the city, he said, 'Whenever you want to get something, you have to leave something. I have come to the village from the city, but if I do a good job as sarpanch, my village will be named. If the name of the village is there, then my name will also be there as well as seeing the youth becoming sarpanch, the people of the village and other youth will also be inspired and if the youth come into politics, then only the villages will be developed. If the villages are developed, the taluka will be developed and the district will be developed through it. Everyone has to adopt the mantra of 'Back to Basic' to develop." 'One thing was certain that I didn't have to buy votes' How difficult was it to contest elections honestly without spending a single penny? In response, he said, 'One thing was certain that I did not have to buy votes, I had to get votes. I have met every voter. He has talked with eyes in his eyes. I understand their problem very well. The person who votes even in the greed of alcohol also wants my son not to do so. The people of the village also understood my point and decided to vote for me by highlighting the development of their village without any greed and greed. I am allowed to tell my supporters that I will lose the election, but I am not allowed to give up the ethics and loyalty with which I have come out." 'Worried the night before the result' "I was very worried, but my father explained to me that if you lose, the villagers are at a loss and if you win, the villagers benefit," he says, describing the agony of the night before the election results. In response to these questions, Dhruv Panchal said, 'I would prefer to call it lokniti and not politics.' Narrating the story behind this, Dhruv Panchal says, 'When I was young, there used to be a big water tank outside my house. I had to jump and pass by. My photo with this problem also appeared in the newspaper and at that time I thought that it is very important in public policy to change this situation. Asked about joining a political party, he said, "When you join a party leader, their thoughts are more likely to dominate you and at such times your work is also affected. That is why in a democracy everyone has got the right to freedom, then why not carry it out?" One of them is Khushaliben Rabari, daughter of Kada village in Visnagar taluka. It was father's dream that someone from the family would join politics Khushaliben Rabari says, "I had to go abroad but I have seen Modi saheb working and inspired by him, I felt that I should become sarpanch. This time our seat was reserved for OBCs and I decided to contest the elections. My father has been associated with a political party for the last 20 years. It was his dream that someone else from my family should join politics and I have fulfilled that dream. 'Why did you choose to live in a village instead of modern life abroad? In response, he said, "I want the people of the village to be active and increase education and happiness facilities. I want to make the village better by doing the work of the people of the village. Talking about the caste equation in her village, Khushaliben says, "My caste has only 133 votes in the village. While the total voting in the village is 5600. In such a situation, it was very difficult to win as a candidate from a caste with 133 votes, but I got more than 2100 votes and have a lead of 1300. I was young and educated so people have supported me. "My dream is to become an MLA," said Khushali Rabari, who presided over the felicitation ceremony of the newly-appointed sarpanches of the state in gandhinagar on Friday, July 4 in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel. In which the Chief Minister said that a person with a PhD degree has also become sarpanch. We also spoke to Sarpanch Neel Desai, a PhD degree holder from Talod village in Gandevi taluka of Navsari, whom the Chief Minister had praised. Neil Desai says, "I have become an accidental sarpanch just like Manmohan Singh was an accidental prime minister. I have earlier worked with Shankar Chaudhary and CR Patil on the water problem. Then the people of the village told me that you are fighting with other people's problems, but when it comes to the village, why are you shying away from representing the village? After this, at the behest of the villagers, I decided to become the sarpanch. 'Neil Desai further said, 'We tried to form samras gram panchayat, but could not do so, so we fought the elections and people won with a huge majority.' 'Understood people's real problems better during the campaign' "The advantage of contesting elections is that I was able to understand the real problems of the villagers better during the campaign. Which has really given me the impetus to solve this problem. ' About his next vision, Neelbhai says, 'I am going to work on five S's in the coming time. First cleanliness, second health, third salil (water), fourth education and lastly the most important discipline. Because without discipline everything ahead is useless. So, I am going to work for the village by giving priority to these five S(S)."
