In the
the meeting, some suggestions were presented for the prevention of gulf floods. There was a discussion on the idea of diverting the water of the creek and taking it to Tapi. Issues such as taking action against industries releasing contaminated water into the creek, regular desilting of creeks, increasing the width of the creek and removing illegal constructions near the creek were also discussed
In themeeting, the irrigation department presented a picture that the creek flood has occurred due to development works. However, CR Patil told irrigation department officials that the responsibility lies with you. In the meeting, CR Patil instructed the officials to take steps up to closure notices against industrialists if required. GPCB officials were also present at the meeting and they were ordered to take samples. It was also discussed in the meeting that there was waterlogging due to metro operations. Metro officials present in the meeting were given strict instructions that no metro work should be done without the approval of the CORPORATION. Instructions have also been given to start the road by expediting the work where the work is pending
Patil had pulled up the officials over the Zinga lake in Surat. CR Patil reprimanded the officials for not removing the Zinga lake. CR Patil told the officials to stop correspondence. Why was the work not done despite being informed earlier? You don't have to work at all. Harsh Sanghvi hit out at the irrigation department that the responsibility of the creek lies with you. Stop throwing the blame. The issue of potholes on the highway was echoed at a meeting chaired by Patil. Sandeep Desai said motorists were facing problems due to potholes on the highway. Potholes on highways should be filled at the earliest.
Harsh Sanghvi said that six months ago, you have been blocking the road by barricading. Close the road 4 days in advance where the work is to be done. Think about people's problems. Do not work in such a way that people's employment is lost
