Bhaskar's last conversation with Nana Patekar: Veteran actor says he had to borrow money from friends for his father's treatment, this sorrow remained for the rest of his life.
Nana Patekar passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 75. He suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Goa. He was then taken to the hospital, where CPR was given for about 45 minutes, but the doctors could not save him. Nana also left behind many such cases along with films, which give a glimpse of the struggles and relationships of his life. In an interview with Divya Bhaskar in December 2024, he talked about his relationship with his father. In his childhood, he considered himself inferior to others. He felt that he was less beautiful than his two brothers in terms of appearance. Because of this, he also had the idea in his mind that his father loved other brothers more than him. As a child, Nana used to participate in plays held in and around the village. Once he acted in the play 'Valmiki'. The special thing was that his father had come to the village from Mumbai to see him perform. This moment was very special for Nana. He felt that his father was also proud of his art. This experience removed the misconceptions he had about his father to a great extent. In the last days, he became close friends with his father. Nana said that in his father's last days, the relationship between the two became very close. His father would sometimes hold his hand and say that he always felt that Nana must have had this in his mind that the brothers got more love than him. Nana said that he had no complaints about his father. However, he regretted his entire life that when his father died, he could not do anything for him. His father died in a corporation hospital and needed money for medicines. At that time, Nana's friends helped him financially. Also read this news related to Nana Patekar...
