In taking action against the Nexus building built by builder Bakir Gandhi in Madhapar Chowk of Rajkot city, all the officials of the Municipal Corporation are pulling the dome in a way that 'daughter-in-law pulls the dome of father-in-law' and after getting the opinion of R&B 12 times, the former TPO had also issued a notice six months ago to seal the building. Recently, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) sealed 12 buildings, including schools and hospitals that did not have BU permission, while the Nexus building, which was illegally erected by builder Bakir Gandhi at Madhapar Chowk on the outskirts of Rajkot, was built in violation of all the rules and regulations of the GDCR. After seeking the opinion of the R&B department 12 times so far, former TPO Kiran Sumra had ordered the sealing of the Nexus building. But the order has not been implemented by former officer and current Central Zone TPO Hetal Sorathia and now he has sought legal opinion on the issue by contacting the new in-charge TPO RD Parmar. We will discuss with the commissioner and take a decision. The question then arises, has Commissioner Tushar Sumera refused to take action against this illegal building? If they have not refused, what is the TPO to discuss to seal the building if it does not have BU permission? There are indications that the Supreme Court's order is also being violated in this chapter and will go to the High Court in the coming days.
