When I came here, we were given the responsibility of conducting the post-mortem. We were present at the PM Room of the Civil Hospital from 3 pm. Bodies started coming one after the other. We had to receive the bodies. When the bodies were taken inside, their hands started burning. 'A new PM Room had to be opened in the old Trauma Centre as the PM Room was small'
Dr. Joshi further said, "We identified the body part by giving tags and numbers to the body one by one, the body part was identified and the details were written in the paper. The body was very bad and the cause of death was also known. Have been. We also made a list of where the dead body was kept. At the time of PM, we took samples of soft tissue from different bodies to identify the body, prioritising teeth and bones and if bones were not found, then sent to FSL. We also had a dental team with us who helped us take dental samples. We had to identify the body, which we did by working non-stop. Most of the bodies were arrived by the next day. But different parts of the body were constantly being found. When we got the samples of the samples that were found till the seventh or eighth day, we would PM that part and put it in a separate bag. 'Shocked to find the body of our fellow student while PM'
Nothing special happened to us while PMING the body, but a body came, and suddenly I saw the body of the medical student whom we had taught, which was a little shocking. I had to work, so I started working again. After the accident, we worked day and night. There were no fixed hours of work, we were given shifts, but we were devoting as much time as we could. Even today, I am scared when a plane passes over civil. Yash
Dr. Yash further said that after becoming PM, there was a shock because I had never seen such a large number of bodies before and in such a bad condition. It took about three months to come out of the shock. During this time, I could not sleep at night and the same scenes were seen again and again in my dreams. Even today, when the sound of a plane comes from the top of the Civil Hospital, there is a fear that the plane might crash. On the first anniversary of the Ahmedabad plane crash, read this news:
