Two people on a bike were hit by a speeding car in front of Shriji Party Plot on the Ring Road in Bhavnagar city late last night (June 6). After the accident, the car collided with a closed tanker. Both the bikers were seriously injured in the incident and were declared dead at the hospital. Two people in the car were also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. The accident took place when the uncle and nephew were returning from the Ram Darbar. Two deaths in the same family have sparked outrage in the family. After the accident, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and the car rammed into the back of a closed tanker parked on the side of the road. There was such a loud noise as the car entered the tanker that people in the vicinity rushed to the spot and a crowd of people gathered at the spot. Death of uncle and nephew
The deceased have been identified as Becharbhai Khatabhai Baraiya (48, resident of Kailash Society, Ghogharod, plot number 23) and Rakeshbhai Mansukhbhai Baraiya (28, resident of Balwantrai Society, Ghogharod, Akwada plot number 29). Locals informed the 108 ambulance and the injured were shifted to Sir T Hospital for treatment, while two people in the car were taken to a private hospital for further treatment. However, doctors on duty at Sir T Hospital declared both the bikers dead after which the bodies of both were shifted for postmortem. The father of the deceased Rakesh lodged a complaint at Bharatnagar police station against the driver of the car GJ-19-BA-1603 that both his son Rakesh and his younger brother Becharbhai had gone to Ram Darbar at Kaliabid with their M.S. No. GJ-04-DK-9533 and were returning home from there. In the meantime, the driver of the four-wheel number GJ-19-BA-1603 drove his car in a negligent manner in front of the city's Ring Road Shriji Party Plot and hit his son and brother.
