Rajkot: The results of the recently held local body elections in Saurashtra have made the political equations clear. The BJP has proved its dominance in the region by hoisting saffron on all 4 municipal corporations and 8 district panchayats, including Rajkot. In the municipalities, the BJP has won 15 out of 18 municipalities, while the BJP has won 44 out of 55 taluka panchayats. However, even after this landslide victory, the BJP is trying hard to establish power in the remaining 11 taluka panchayats, including the 7 that are held by the opposition and the three that are in trouble.
