Vadodara : In view of the recent devastating floods and landslides in several states of the country, the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners has written to the Finance Minister requesting extension of the due date for filing various income tax returns and tax audit reports for the year 2025-26.
Technical issues are also arising due to system errors while uploading returns on the Income Tax portal. Apart from this, the improvement in the format of financial statements, the upcoming festive season as well as heavy rains and floods have also affected business activities. Internet service, power supply and transportation have been disrupted. In such a situation, it has become impossible to file income tax returns and audit reports.
