Four baby lions released into cages in Kevadia's jungle safari

Vadodara: Four baby lions were released into a cage at the Sardar Patel Zoological Park (jungle safari) at Kevadiya, Ektanagar in Narmada district on the occasion of World Lion Day today.

Usually , after giving birth to the cubs, the lioness becomes very sensitive in taking care of the cubs and becomes aggressive for the safety of the cubs.

Under these circumstances, the cubs cannot be removed from it. Also, babies cannot be displayed in any zoo for three months after birth. When there is no movement of the cubs and the public, the child is taken with the mother for the purpose of getting used to the cage. After three months, it is released in the cage.

The lion couple gave birth to four baby lions three months ago after the successful mating of 'Suleh' and 'Shraddha' in kevadiya zoo. Of these, three cubs are female and one calf is male.

Today, according to the guidelines of the Central Zoo Authority, all the four baby lions were released in the cage. Last year too, 'Shraddha' and 'Suleh' also gave birth to two cubs, and this year they have given birth to four cubs. So the lion family has become an attraction in the jungle safari.

According to the unique names of the animals born in the zoo, out of these four lion cubs, three females have been named 'Ganga', 'Jamuna' and 'Saraswati'. While the male child lion will be named soon.
