Keshod received four inches of rain in four hours, 83 talukas of the state received rainfall, still forecast

As the third round of rainfall is about to begin in the state, 83 talukas, including Keshod in Junagadh, received rainfall. Heavy rains lashed Keshod yesterday leading to waterlogging in several areas. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many districts.

Several areas waterlogged due to heavy rains in Keshod

Several areas were cloudy yesterday as the second round of rains in the state was about to be completed. As many as 83 talukas in the state received rainfall, of which Keshod in Junagadh received four inches of rain in four hours. In Keshod, there was a rain storm since yesterday morning and there was heavy rain from 10 am to 2 pm as well as from 2 pm to evening. Several areas were flooded following heavy rains. Apart from this, Manavadar, Medarda, Palsana in Surat received three and a half inches of rain, while Vapi in Valsad received three and a half inches of rain and Gandevi in Navsari received three inches of rain. A total of 35 talukas in the state received more than 1 inch of rain. 

Still rain forecast

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain once again in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may occur in some areas of Saurashtra including Anand, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. Apart from this,  light to moderate rain has been predicted at some places in the state.
