
- Mob targets bootlegger's brother's house and damages vehicles

Vadodara: Another incident of assault has come to light while playing gambling in Nagarwada area of Vadodara city. A scuffle broke out between a well-known bootlegger, Dilip Makwana, and a man from Fatehpura, following which a mob of both the parties vandalised vehicles and houses and damaged them. Four persons sustained minor injuries in the incident. It is worth mentioning here that in the past too, incidents of scuffle have been reported between Kathiawadi Chali and Ranawas.
There have often been instances of the police turning the incident around so that the image of the police does not deteriorate in the case of crime arising out of anti-social activity. The incident came to light late last night while playing gambling in Nagarwada Navidharti area. According to information received from reliable sources, some people were gambling near the temple of Nagarwada Navidharti Chowk Baliadev Maharaj late last night. At that time, dilip had abused the man living in Fatepura while pushing the famous bootlegger Dilip Makwana. So the provoked man in front of him slapped Dilip. As a result, the mob, which was dragged from Kathiawadi Chali, damaged vehicles, including tempos, cars, bikes, parked around the temple of Baliadev Maharaj by pelting stones at them. On the other hand, the mob vandalised the house of Dilip Makwana's brother Vikram Makwana near the temple of Baliadev Maharaj and damaged it. Four persons, including Vikas and Dilip, sustained injuries on behalf of the minor in the attack. A convoy of Karelibagh police station rushed to the spot following the incident. And the situation had come to a standstill. On the other hand, due to the damage to their vehicles, a group of people along with the vehicles rushed to the Karelibagh police station. At present, the police are in the process of registering a complaint against both the parties.
