4 important amendment bills will be introduced in the Gujarat Assembly today: Rules of recruitment in private schools will be changed, reservation policy will be implemented; Violators will be fined up to Rs 15 lakh

On the second day of the Monsoon Session of the Gujarat Assembly, the proceedings of the House will begin at 12 noon today. The question and answer session will be held from 12 noon to 1 pm. In which issues related to police, home department, industry, tourism, transport, tribal development, khadi-kutir and health department will be discussed. After the Question Hour, 4 important reform bills will be introduced in the House. Important provisions have been made in these bills to regularize old land transactions, relief to traders-exporters in GST, rules related to livestock feed and the process of recruitment in aided private schools. 4 major changes in GST rules, relief to traders and exporters The Gujarat government has brought a bill to make some important changes in the GST rules. This change will especially benefit traders and exporters. 1. It will be easier to give discounts after selling goods If the company or trader gives a discount to the customer after selling the goods, then its process will be easier. For this, the company will issue a credit note and the customer will have to return the ITC at the discount on which he has availed GST. 2. Credit note can be given for discount The provision of credit note for discount given after sale of goods has been clarified. 3. Some merchants will get refunds quickly The traders who are required to get refund on account of differentiation of GST paid on goods and GST collected at the time of sale, can get refund of 90% in advance in eligible cases. The rest of the process will be done away with after verification of documents. 4. Rs. 1,000 cap to be removed for exporters Provision has been made to remove the existing minimum limit of Rs 1,000 for refund to exporters who have paid GST by sending goods abroad. Recruitment rules in private schools to change, reservation policy to be implemented Important provisions have been made in the Bill to amend the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Act, 1972. Major changes in land fragmentation and consolidation rules Gujarat Agricultural Land Acquisition Act has been amended. The Gujarat Prevention of Fragmentation and Consolidation of Holdings (Amendment) Bill, 2026 provides important clarity. In simple terms, certain land transactions done against the provisions of the Act till 31st March, 2026 have now been regularised without payment of penalty or premium. The Livestock Feed and Poultry Fed Bill The Gujarat Livestock Feed, Poultry-Feed and Mineral Mixing Bill will also be introduced in the House. These amendments will be important for regulation related to feed and mineral mixing for livestock.
