The government has taken an important decision for migrant supervisor instructors imparting training in government and aided ITIs of the state. Instructors who used to get honorarium at Rs. 90 per hour will now get Rs. 180 per hour. That is, their remuneration has been directly doubled. Besides providing financial incentives to these instructors who have been contributing to skill-based training for a long time, it is the government's effort to further strengthen the training system in ITIs. Increase in daily and monthly maximum limit
According to the new resolution announced by the Department of Labour, Skill Development and Employment, not only the hourly wages, but also the daily and monthly maximum limit has been doubled. Earlier the maximum amount received was Rs 540 per day, which has now been increased to Rs 1,080. Similarly, the monthly maximum honorarium has been increased from Rs 14,040 to Rs 28,080. The decision has been taken under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Labour, Skill Development and Employment Minister Kunwarji Bavaliya and Minister of State Kantilal Amrutiya. The new rates have been implemented from the date of the resolution. Focus on Shortage of Instructors and Quality of Training
The services of Tourist Supervisor Instructors are hired in ITIs of the state to impart vocational training to the students in various trades. They impart not only bookish knowledge to the students but also practical knowledge and technical skills which will be useful in industries. However, it may be challenging to connect better and experienced instructors with the system due to limited honorarium . Now with the salary doubling the salary, the government hopes to motivate more experienced instructors to serve in ITIs. This will have a direct impact on the training of the students and will also help in ensuring that the studies are not hampered due to the shortage of instructors. This decision of the government will provide economic benefits to the migrant instructors on one hand while on the other hand the students studying in ITIs will get better and continuous training as per the needs of the industry. Therefore, this decision is not only seen as an increase in honorarium but also as a measure related to skill development and vocational education of the state.
