Harshit Rana injury update: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 series against Afghanistan, in which the selection of some key players was kept subject to their medical fitness. All three matches of this thrilling T20 series between India and Afghanistan will be played at the historic Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The first match of the series will be held on September 13, for which the young and experienced players of the Indian team have started arriving in Delhi. The squad selected for this important series included 4 key players - Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar - on the condition that they prove their on-field fitness. Now a big and crucial update has come out on the current fitness status of all these players
News agency PTI has provided detailed information about the health and fitness reports of these four players, citing an internal source in the BCCI. The most disappointing news for Indian cricket fans is about young fast bowler Harshit Rana. According to the information received, Harshit Rana's fitness seems impossible at the moment and there is a strong possibility that he will be out of the series completely. A BCCI source clarified that Harshit has not yet fully recovered from his hamstring injury. He will need more time to return to the field and bear the burden of bowling. It is worth noting here that Harshit was injured even before the start of the T20 World Cup. He then made a hard comeback during the tour of England, but unfortunately he was injured again. This recurring injury has made it almost impossible for him to play against Afghanistan.
On the other hand, there is also a very good news for the Indian team management. Young all-rounder Washington Sundar has been declared fully fit for the upcoming T20 series against Afghanistan. It simply means that he will be available to show his brilliant performance on the field in the matches starting September 13.

Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Kumar Reddy are also very important information about them. Both these players are currently undergoing an intensive rehabilitation process and are slowly recovering from their injuries. According to sources, both Bumrah and Reddy are on the right path to recovery. Talking about star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, he suffered a serious left knee injury during the ODI tour of England in July, due to which he has been away from the international cricket field for a long time. While emerging youngster Nitish Kumar Reddy is suffering from a quadriceps (thigh muscle). The board's medical team is constantly and closely monitoring the health of these two players, but fans may have to wait a little longer for their full return
