A network of drugged poppy husk under the guise of rice qualities

The district SOG has intensified the network of transporting intoxicating poshdodas from Jharkhand to Rajasthan via Vadodara. A quantity of 2,292 kg of poppy husk and a truck and rice worth Rs 80.83 were seized and one person was arrested while another person was on the lookout for another person.

The SOG, who was on patrolling duty, received information that a truck belonging to Rajasthan Pasag was going to be smuggled into a truck near Savas Road of Siddharth Annexe Complex on the outskirts of Vemali village, following which the watch was set up and the truck  was cordoned off and 135 bags full of poppy bags worth Rs 68.76 lakh were found. The quantity of poshdoda was hidden among the 4940 qualities filled with rice. The police seized a truck, a quantity of poppy seeds, rice properties, mobiles, GPS devices and a total of Rs 80.83 lakh in cash.

The truck driver Ishwarsingh Gajendrasingh Rajput (resident of Kishorenagar, village Someshwar, Ta. Shergarh, district Jodhpur, Rajasthan) was arrested while he was carrying a consignment of poppy seeds under the guise of delivery of rice. Ishwar Singh told the police that the truck from the state of Jharkhand was to fill the qualities of rice and transport the quantity of intoxicating poppy seeds from the state of Gujarat to Rajasthan under its guise. A case in this regard was registered at Manjusar police station which is being further investigated by Jarod police.
