Health campaign against Chandipur Virus in Jogwad village: Spraying of medicines, spreading awareness about Malaria-Dengue and TB

A special health drive was conducted by the health department in Jogwad village of Lalpur taluka of Jamnagar district. The main objective of this campaign was to protect against the Chandipur virus and other infectious diseases. Spraying of pesticides in the village guided people to maintain cleanliness and surroundings to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Under this campaign, disinfection operations were carried out to prevent outbreak of mosquito-borne diseases like malaria and dengue in the coming days. Villagers were urged not to keep open containers filled with water around their houses, to dispose of unnecessary utensils, tyres and other waterlogged items properly. Further, during the campaign, TB patients were visited and advised to take regular medication. The health department also created awareness for early diagnosis and timely treatment of people with suspected symptoms of TB. The main objective of this entire campaign was to protect the village of Jogwad from communicable diseases and to increase health awareness among the people.
