In the Rajkot TRP game zone fire, the corporation had issued an order dismissing 6 officials on July 8. After this, two ATPs knocked on the doors of the High Court and they got relief, later Chief Fire Officer Ilesh Kher also knocked on the doors of the High Court. Like the two ATPs, Ilesh Kher has also been ordered to pay half his salary as 'suspended' and not dismissed. The corporation dismissed the inquiry committee without submitting the report
On July 8, the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) had ordered the dismissal of Chief Fire Officer Ilesh Kher, Fire Station Officer Rohit Vigora, Town Planning Department's Gautam Joshi, Mukesh Makwana, Jaideep Chaudhary and Rajesh Makwana. Mukesh Makwana and Rajesh Makwana had filed a petition in the high court alleging that the civic body had not submitted the inquiry report of the inquiry committee before dismissing them. He could not present his defence due to non-receipt of the report, which is against the principle of justice. It is mandatory for any employee to provide a copy of the report before dismissal. After such an argument, the civic body issued notices to the two officers ordering them to be suspended and not dismissed. All the accused are out on bail.
After this, the Chief Fire Officer of the Municipal Corporation, Ilesh Kher, ordered to pay half the salary of the High Court, and 3 of the 6 officers will be considered suspended for the time being and they will continue to get half the salary every month. While the possibility of Rohit Vigora, Gautam Joshi and Jaideep Chaudhary also knocking on the doors of the High Court cannot be ruled out. While all the accused in the case are out on bail, now three officers have got 'relief' by getting a stay on their dismissal order.
