Ahmedabad receives the highest average rainfall of the season in 7 years: Two inches of rain has created a waterlogged situation in many areas, Sabarmati has taken a furious form.

The last two years have received the highest rainfall in the last seven years. Ahmedabad received 110 per cent of the season's rainfall (39.73 inches) from June 1 to September 7.
