West Bengal Former Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee on Sunday (October 4, 2026) has given a 15-day deadline to the MPs and MLAs who have left the party. "As far as the MLAs and those who have left us are concerned, if they come back within 15 days, it is fine, otherwise there will be no place for them here.
For the first time after the assembly elections in the state, addressed workers and people through mobile phones at the mega event of a show of strength held in North Dinajpur, North Bengal. He said, ' The MLAs and MPs whom we helped win the elections are traitors. There is no place for them here. We will come back to power. You are the real Trinamool and if the rebel MLAs and MPs do not come back in the next 15 days, there will be no place for them here," he said.
Election Commission?
Meanwhile, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the Election Commission, alleging that as long as Gyanesh Kumar continues to head the Election Commission (ECI), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will remain in power. He said that just as he had successfully founded the party in 1998, it can strengthen the party once again.
