Rickshaw gang targeting senior citizens: Three arrested for stealing copper and aluminium wire in Mundra port, wire scrap worth Rs 45 lakh and valuables worth Rs 57 lakh including truck seized

The Rajkot Crime Branch has cracked the mystery of the theft of aluminium and copper wire from Adani Port under Mundra police station area of Kutch and arrested three accused from Rajasthan, Mundra and Surendranagar and seized valuables worth Rs 57 lakh. The Rajkot crime branch team was on patrol. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted the truck on the Rajkot-Morbi highway and nabbed Jetaram Pokarram Baliara (50), Pritesh Amritlal Ramani (28) and Yuvraj Singh Natubha Zala (32) and seized aluminium and copper wire scraps, trucks and containers worth Rs 45 lakh. A complaint has been lodged at Mundra police station in connection with the theft of 10 tonnes of scrap worth Rs 5 lakh. So today, Kishan Sureshbhai Naidu has been detained by the SOG and handed over to Surat Lajpore Jail. The accused Kishan Sureshbhai Naidu had earlier been booked under the NDPS Act at Pradyumnanagar police station in the year 2025. PCB nabbed an accused with liquor worth Rs 1.24 lakh While the Rajkot city PCB team was on patrol, the accused Ritwik alias Raghav Jiplat (22) was nabbed from an auto rickshaw near Sriram Chowk on Mawdi Pal Road with 432 bottles of foreign liquor of 180 ml worth Rs 1.24 lakh. The police have launched a manhunt for two more accused, Vijay alias Tito Bhatti and Tushar Ode. At present, the police have seized a total of Rs 1.64 lakh and are taking legal action.
