The road from Municipal High School to Dholeshwar Phatak in Thangarh town has turned into a very bad and dilapidated condition. There is a serious fear of accidents due to potholes one to one-and-a-half feet deep on this road. Locals and motorists have been demanding that the road be repaired immediately by the construction department or the road building department administration. There is a big sharp turn turn near the municipal high school to move towards the ceramic industry area. When heavy vehicles of 40-40 tonnes coming from Morbi and Wankaner take a turn from here, the friction of tyres often leads to the uprooting of asphalt and large potholes. Due to the steep slope near the Dholeshwar railway crossing, it is very difficult to climb the 40-tonne carriage loaded with ceramic goods and there are incidents of vehicles getting stuck in the pothole. At present, this road can survive only if a strong CC road is constructed on this road by the administration instead of just digging or building asphalt roads. There is a public demand that the concerned government machinery should wake up and start working immediately to avoid the danger of accidents. In this regard, Dinubhai Bhagat Suryaprakash Navneetbhai Shah said that in Thangadh, many heavy vehicles ply from Morbi and Wankaner on a daily basis, due to which the government gets a huge tax. However, such a pathetic condition of the road is unacceptable. Whichever department is in charge, the road should be repaired immediately so that no major accident occurs.
