A major action has been taken by the police against the sale of narcotic substances from the Vadodara-Padra diocese. During an intensive investigation, the police have succeeded in seizing a large quantity of banned ganja from Anti village of Padra.
A total of Rs 27,50,000 worth of goods were seized.
During the raid, a total of 55 kg of ganja, with an international or market value of Rs. 27,50,000/-, was recovered. All these items have been seized by the authorities and legal action has been taken.
SP Sushil Aggarwal's statement and the arrest of the accused
Giving information about the whole matter, SP Sushil Aggarwal said that a man named Ilyas alias Sheru has been arrested in this case. Preliminary investigation revealed that the ganja was brought from outside the state or from another place.

Remand of accused involved in NDPS crime approved
The arrested accused Ilyas has been found to be involved in NDPS (Serious Narcotic Crimes) offences in the past as well. The police have produced the accused in the court and obtained his 5-day remand so that a more in-depth investigation can be conducted into who else is involved in this racket.
