The corporation has clearly told the businessmen that in an unhygenic condition and if anyone is caught selling light and unhealthy  panipuri, his business will be stopped. Three teams of Food Safety Officers of the Food Branch were formed today and intensive checking was carried out in 47 units and lorries making water-puri in tandalja, Kotar Talavadi, Khushbunagar, Naseeb Nagar, Srinagar, Chhani Canal Road, Krishna Nagar, TP-13, Manjalpur, Sainath Nagar, Darbar Chowki, Waghodia Road etc. 132 kg. A total of 202-kg  of non-food items such as potatoes, gram, puri, chutney, etc. as well as 70 liters of water-puri water were destroyed on the spot. Notices were issued to 4 businessmen doing business without license or registration as well as 4 on the issue of cleanliness. Not only panipuri, but in any area where cases of diarrhoea, vomiting, jaundice, typhoid etc. are found, apart from checking the food items sold in the open, it will also be checked by going to its manufacturing unit, and action will be taken.
