Mona Singh, Member, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), New Delhi, visited Patan district. During the visit, he also inspected the historical and cultural heritage of Patan. After reaching Patan, Mona Singh visited the world-famous 'Rani Ki Vav' as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He explored the unique architectural, sculptural and historical significance of the stepwell. He keenly observed the sculptural carvings of the stepwell. In the evening, he also watched the special 'Light and Sound show' organised at Rani ni Vav. The show showcased the glorious history, cultural tradition of Patan and the historical significance of Rani ki Vav. During the visit, the concerned authorities provided him with necessary information about the location.
