CWG: PM tells Mirabai Chanu, 'It seemed like gold medal was dripping from every drop of tears'

India has won a total of 39 medals in the Commonwealth Games 2026. There are 13 gold, 17 silver and 9 bronze. India has been ranked fourth in the tally.

PM Modi told weightlifter Mirabai Chanu- 'Three times and so many tears were falling. I felt that the gold medal was dripping from every drop of tears.' PM Modi spoke to boxer Sakshi. The first fight with India came. Now we will lose the first fight and we will not even get a medal.

PM Modi made a video together with all the winners and also gave a message to the nation. He said, "Whoever plays, will bloom.   Always cheer for India. He then chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
