Vadodara: It has been made mandatory for gps and mineral users to register for vehicles involved in transporting minerals including sand, black trap in Vadodara district. The last date for registration has been fixed till September 30.
All the users associated with the state's mineral consumption, industries using minerals as raw material, holders of ceramics, cement, readymix concrete and other industries/ plants, all the users associated with the business of construction and contractors associated with public/ government construction, sub-contractors, trusts, co-operative organizations, partnership firms, etc. It has also been mentioned that the responsibility of registration of the contractor/ sub-contractor lies with the head of the department under which the works are carried out.
All vehicles, vehicle owners, way-bridge holders, mine development operators, mechanical machinery owners and businessmen involved in mineral mining/transport storage activity are required to register by paying the fee applicable on the portal. It is also mandatory to install GPS based vehicle tracking devices in vehicles. Vehicles not registered on the GPS-based vehicle tracking devices portal after 30/09/2023 shall be deemed invalid for mining, transportation and storage use of minerals in the State.
