Sourav Ganguly appointed as Delhi Capitals' new head coach

Indian Premier League (IPL 2027) is scheduled to be held next year. Delhi Capitals (DC) has made a big announcement before the new season. They have announced the name of their new head coach.   Delhi Capitals (DC) have appointed Sourav Ganguly as their new coach. Delhi Capitals shared this information on Instagram. Sharing a video, Delhi Capitals wrote, "Delhi, this is the time of bullying. Sourav Ganguly, Head Coach of the Tigers."

Former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani was the head coach of Delhi Capitals till last season. Now Sourav Ganguly will take over as the head coach. Delhi Capitals are one of the few teams that have not won the IPL title yet. Ganguly will be aiming to make Delhi Capitals champions for the first time. Before Ganguly, Delhi Capitals have tried out six coaches. These include Gregory Sheppard, Eric Simmons, Gary Kirsten, Paddy Upton, Ricky Ponting and Hemang Badani<>

Sourav Ganguly has an old relationship with the Delhi team and has played various roles there. In March 2019, Ganguly was appointed as the advisor of the Delhi Capitals IPL team. However, he had to leave Delhi after becoming the BCCI president in October 2019. Ganguly returned to the franchise as a director of cricket after completing his stint in the BCCI. Here, he handled the behind-the-scenes operations and operations and squad building in both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Women's Premier League (WPL).
