He had left the child mercilessly in the acacia bushes near the Suswani river and fled. A one-year-old boy died of hunger and heat as he was alone in a deserted place, due to the scorching heat of summer and extreme hunger and thirst. When the police found the child, his body was deformed due to natural factors. The Halhad taluka police have registered a case under stringent sections of the law against the accused father. The accused is currently absconding, which is being nabbed by different police teams. Talking about the Porbandar incident, the police have registered a case against three persons, including his mother, for killing a newborn baby and destroying evidence. Police investigations have revealed that the murder was committed to hide the sin of a child born out of an illicit relationship. According to the complainant, the complainant's wife had been living separately from her husband for the last two and a half years. During this period, the woman gave birth to a son despite the fact that there was no relationship between husband and wife. In order to hide the fact of the child born due to this illicit relationship, the woman had written her husband's name as the father of the child in the government book.
