Vadodara was flooded with three inches of rain in two hours in the afternoon.

Vadodara: Heavy rains lashed Vadodara this afternoon, inundating low-lying areas of the city. After the change in the climate, the cold spread  due to the rain.

It is worth mentioning that it had been raining at night for the last two days, but the rain, which started suddenly from 3 pm today, disrupted public life. Due to the torrential rains, water was flooded on Raopura Road, Laheripura Road, Dandiabazar Road. Traffic was also affected due to waterlogging. A total of 3 inches of rain fell in Vadodara from 3pm to 6pm, according to the flood control room. However, there was no rain  in some areas of the city.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Vadodara  dropped by 0.6 degrees to 32.6 degrees and the minimum temperature increased by 0.2 degrees to 26.2 degrees. The humidity level in the air was 85 per cent in the morning and 92 per cent in the evening. According to the flood control room, the city received a total of 87 mm of rainfall from 6 am to 6 pm today. Apart from the city, Dabhoi taluka in the district has also received two inches of rain. With this, Vadodara city has received 40 percent of the total season's rainfall and the city-district has received 36 percent of the season's rainfall. Heavy rains are predicted in the city and district for two more days.
