Kutch is the largest and industrial and tourist hub district of the state, the issue of transport in this district is the main issue, there are not enough ST buses in the villages and there are no city buses in the cities, in which two flights and one train have been stopped in the same month. Surprisingly, after Diwali, when the tourist season is set in Kutch, whether there is a new train or a new air service starts and a hefty price is charged in the existing services. The train between Kutch and Saurashtra, which started after two decades, ran for barely 3 months.
The Bhuj-Rajkot train was started after two decades after a long time of presentations. This special train was run from March 21 to June 30, which has not been extended so that the services of June 30 have ended. There has not been a huge response due to excessive time and not getting enough publicity in the train, in fact, if this train is extended to Jamnagar or Dwarka, tourists can be found, but the railways gives the reason for not getting passengers. The afternoon flight to Mumbai was completely blown away due to lack of a slot.
Air India started the afternoon flight between Bhuj and Mumbai after a long-pending demand in view of the rush of passengers. The flight took off from Mumbai at 10 am and reached Bhuj at 1.35 pm and took off at 2.05 pm and reached Mumbai at 3.45 pm. At present, there are two daily morning flights between Bhuj and Mumbai, which are frequently delayed. Bhuj-Ahmedabad flight has flown for 3 years, now closed
The daily flight between Bhuj-Ahmedabad was operated by Star Air under the UDAN scheme. After the completion of the 3-year contract, the government has not renewed the contract, so this flight has been stopped since June. At present, three flights are operated from Bhuj to Mumbai and Delhi.
