The process of releasing water from Ukai dam is underway. 1,63,148 cusecs of water is being released into the Tapi river by opening 12 gates of the dam. The current level of the dam has reached 337.90 feet. The same amount of water coming from upstream is being released into the river. This step has been taken to keep the level of the dam balanced. The water stored in ukai dam will prove to be a blessing in disguise for south Gujarat in the times to come.
