Vadodara: Award given for dedication, mentoring and innovation in the field of medical education

Vadodara: Dr. Swapnil Parlikar, Associate Professor, Department of Physiology, Baroda Medical College. Dr. Swapnil Parlikar has been conferred with the prestigious MEU India Teachers' Day Award-2026. Only eight medical educators from across India have been selected for this award who have made a unique contribution to the field of medical education through their dedication, guidance, innovative experimentation and dedication. MEU India is a large network of more than 30,000 health sector teachers and medical educators spread across India. The institute conducts various courses and training to bridge the knowledge gaps and connect different branches of medical education without any discrimination of subject or specialty. Dr. Dr. Swapnil Parlikar is an alumnus of Medical College, Baroda of 1993 batch and is currently working in the Department of Physiology there. He has done his M.S. M.D. in Physiology from the University of Baroda. He has done his M.D. in Physiology. Dr. Parlikar has a special interest in modern educational approaches such as Active Learning, Flipped Classroom, Mind Mapping and Concept Mapping. In addition, he has received the prestigious AIMER Fellowship from CMC, Ludhiana (2015-17). The Foundation for Advancement in International Medical Education and Research is a non-profit organization based in the USA. It was established in the year 2000.
