This is the third such case in the last three days to show an increased risk of swallowing small objects when children are alone during the holidays. Doctors of the ENT department of SSG Hospital in Vadodara have succeeded in saving the life of an 11-year-old child. The child was in a life-threatening condition after he developed a blockage in his windpipe due to swallowing of the pin. The child had accidentally swallowed the pin yesterday afternoon. After that, the child started having trouble breathing. The child was immediately given first aid at private Zydus Hospital in Dahod. An X-ray revealed that the pin was stuck in the baby's right main bronchus. In such a situation, the doctors of Zydus Hospital immediately referred the child to SSG Hospital in Vadodara for further treatment. In this situation, the team from the ENT department of SSG Hospital conducted a bronchoscopy procedure and successfully removed the trapped pin and revived the child. The pin was removed after half an hour of surgery Dr Rahul Gupta, who performed the successful surgery, said, "Two patients came to us yesterday evening. An 11-year-old boy came to us from Dahod. A paper pin was stuck in his right lung. In this way, when a small object gets stuck in a patient's lung, it is very dangerous for the patient. In this condition, there is difficulty in breathing and patients like children are also suffocating. We had the pin removed after half an hour of surgery by bronchoscopy as the baby came to us in time. It is important to take special care of children during the holidays "After a while, a three-year-old child came from Padra. The child had a coin stuck in his neck, which came in time and we operated on him and took out the signature safely. Both the patients came yesterday evening.
