Vadodara: Vadodara Municipal Corporation will give compensation in case of an accident due to stray cattle in Vadodara. After Ahmedabad, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation took a decision in this regard. The proposal has been placed in the Standing Committee of Vadodara Municipal Corporation
According to theproposal, if a person dies due to stray cattle in Vadodara city, then the municipality will pay a compensation of Five lakh rupees to the family of the deceased and if any person is injured in the accident, then he will be given a compensation of Rs 50,000. The guidelines have been issued by the Gujarat High Court. The new cattle policy will come into effect after the proposal through the meeting. The important thing is that due to the stray cattle, the family of the deceased has to pay Rs. 5 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh to the injured. A compensation of Rs. 50,000, which has been proposed to be recovered from the herder
Suggestions have been put forward along with a proposal in the Standing Committee to formulate a prevention and control policy. In which it has been suggested to close the non-bailable offence and dhorwada permanently if the same animal owner commits a crime for the third time. Further, breaking or removing the animal tag would amount to an offence to destroy government evidence as well as an obstruction to government work and < take legal action>
