Drunk man ramps two-wheeler over car divider: Accident in front of Makarpura police station; Nose bleeds, airbag opens

Vadodara: In a shocking incident, a drunk driver rammed his car into a divider on the road in front of Makarpura police station in Vadodara on Wednesday night. Manjalpur police station has registered a case against the driver under the Prohibition Act and the Motor Vehicle Act and further legal action is being taken. Witnesses also said that the driver of the car was intoxicated and was hitting other two-wheeler vehicles. Police have registered a case against the driver and further investigations are on. Drunk man loses control of car On the night of August 5, the driver of a white Ertiga car that was passing in front of Makarpura police station lost control of the car in an inebriated state. Locals said he also hit some two-wheeler vehicles before ramping the car into a divider in the middle of the road. The driver was taken to hospital by 108 As soon as the accident occurred, the people in the vicinity gathered and informed 108. The injured car driver was rushed to a private hospital near Shreyas Three Road for treatment. As soon as the incident was reported, a convoy of Manjalpur police reached the spot and the hospital. The driver of the car lives in Vadsar When the police reached the hospital, the driver of the car was identified as Alpesh Trikambhai Patel (44, resident of Radhakrishna Tenement, Vadodara). When it became clear that Alpesh Patel was in a drunken state, the police registered a case against him under Prohibition and MV. A case has been registered under the Act and further investigation is underway.
