Valsad ST The 'Gram Haat' run by Sakhi Mandal was inaugurated at the bus stand. MLA Bharatbhai Patel and Zilla Panchayat President Hetalben Patel inaugurated the shop. The purpose of the 'Gram Haat' is to provide employment to local sisters and pure-natural products to the passengers. This platform is under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Natural products made by the sisters of Sakhi Mandal will be sold here. In this, organic honey, pure natural jaggery, turmeric powder, organic rice, oil, desi sugar, spices as well as snacks and papad items of cottage industries are available. Zilla Panchayat President Hetalben Patel said that there is a plan to start 136 'Gram Haats' in Gujarat for women empowerment. The products of the sisters of 28 Sakhi Mandals of Valsad taluka will be sold on a rotational basis in 15-15 days. This will give the sisters financial self-reliance and a proper market. Passengers will get pure-quality goods under one roof, it will also increase the income of the corporation.
