Water supply in the Veraval-Patan joint municipality area will be stopped today on October 2. This decision has been taken due to a major leakage in the 400 mm outlet pipe at Rajendra Bhuvan Tank. A large amount of water is being wasted as the pipe is completely damaged. The work of replacing this damaged pipe with a new pipe will be taken up by the municipality immediately. Water will not be supplied to any zone in the municipality area until this work is completed. As per the instructions of the Chief Officer, citizens have been requested to preserve the required quantity of water in advance and use it carefully. After the completion of the repairs, the water supply will be restored as usual without any further notice. The municipal administration will try to restore water supply at the earliest.
