In a high-level review meeting convened by VMC Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu in Vadodara Municipal Corporation, the administration has taken a strict stance to improve the functioning of the city. While reviewing various development works and sanitation arrangements going on in Vadodara city, the Commissioner has turned a red eye on the officials who are negligent in the work.
Notices issued to officials of various departments, including 16 engineers
During the meeting, the commissioner took immediate action and issued show-cause notices to a total of 16 engineers of various departments. The process of issuing notices not only to the engineers but also to the SI (Sanitation Inspector) and Supervisors who did not pay enough attention to the cleaning work has been started immediately.

Legal notice action against ward officers
Due to the delay in resolving the complaints and cleanliness issues of the citizens in different wards of the city, now the shackles have been tightened directly against the ward officers. There has been a huge uproar in the municipal circles as the process of issuing notices against the concerned ward officers has also begun.

'Termination if work is not improved' - Commissioner warns
Giving a stern warning in the meeting, Municipal Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu said that all the officials will have to work hard for public satisfaction. If there is no improvement in the performance in the coming days, strict action will be taken up to direct termination, it has also been warned. After this meeting, there has been a lot of flutter among the negligent officials of the municipality.
