The government provides food grains to the needy people through ration shops. But most of the people take this grain and sell it at a cheaper price. In the villages of Amreli diocese, the grain mafia is grabbing this grain at a cheap price right under the nose of the system and then selling it to the people at a higher price. Be it Rajasthani, Chandgarh, Sonaria, Mota Gokharwala, Lapalia village of Amreli taluka, Amba village of Lilia taluka or Jira village of Savarkundla taluka, the government distributes the quantity of rations to the shopkeepers at the beginning of the month, and the rickshaws of the grain mafia start moving in these villages throughout the day. Under the mercy of the system, the rickshaw pullers stand in front of the ration shop and buy the goods directly from the people who come out of the shop at the price of Rs. 20. When the entire rickshaw is full, the food grains are delivered to the designated traders in Amreli Yard in the afternoon. These traders follow it and get good wheat and rice and then deliver it to the people at a higher price. This kind of network runs throughout the district. At some places, the goods are loaded in the godowns and later the goods are also delivered to the surrounding districts. The system sometimes takes action only in name. Earlier, a large quantity of grain was seized from a godown on the bypass in Amreli. Sometimes, sporadic action is taken in the Wadia diocese. In the rest of the district, the government officials themselves are turning a blind eye. The Amreli marketing yard comes at lunch time
In Amreli Marketing Yard, most of the grains for auction arrive at night and early in the morning. While the ration grain No. 2 is brought to the traders in the afternoon. Without auction, it goes directly to the trader and the yard also suffers a loss of residue. The rice baskets reach Surat in private buses. The quantity of wheat has been consumed at the local level. But some elements are being sent to the rice baskets from Amreli to Surat in private buses every day. Thus, this network is extended to Surat. We sell grain at a price of Rs 50: Rickshaw puller A rickshaw driver who sells grain in Rajasthan said, "Our five rickshaws move around the surrounding villages. After buying wheat and rice, we sell the grain to people at a price of Rs 50. The quantity of wheat has been used up at the local level. But some elements are sending rice packets from Amreli to Surat in private buses every day. Thus, this network has been extended to Surat. A house in Mango is storing food grains
In most of the villages, the rickshaw pullers collect the grain and deliver it to the godowns and traders on the same day. But in the village of Amba, the grain is stored in a house. The villagers deliver the grain there, and when a large quantity is collected, the vehicle comes and takes it away.
