17-year-old girl from Dasada creates history by winning gold medal in Double Trap Shooting Event in Patiala, Punjab

Usually, participating in a shooting competition for girls is like chewing iron chickpeas, while a 17-year-old girl from Dasada made history by winning a gold medal in the double trap shooting competition in Punjab Patiala. The girl has qualified to participate in the National Competition with her best performance in Double Trap Shooting as well as Single Trap. For women in general and Muslim girls in particular, participating in shooting competitions is a big deal. At that time, 17-year-old Zuveriabanu Ayub Khan Khokhar, a resident of Dasada in Surendranagar district, won the gold medal in the Double Trap Shooting Youth Women Competition with a score of 27/60 in the All India GV Mavlankar Pre-National Tournament held at Motibagh Gun Club in Patiala, Punjab. In addition to double trap shooting, the girl also secured the fifth position in the single trap and qualified to participate in the national competition and will go to Delhi to play nationals in the coming days. Further, a total of 176 competitors from all over India participated in the All India GV Mavalankar Pre-National Tournament held at Motibagh Gun Club, Patiala, Punjab. Zuveriabanu Ayub Khan Khokhar has been participating in the state tournament for the last three years. He has won four gold medals in the state tournament. He also won a silver medal in the 141st Open India tournament. He has also won a gold medal from the state of Gujarat by securing the first position in the double trap shooting competition at the Khel Mahakumbh. The girl's 15-year-old brother also qualified for the national tournament. The girl's 15-year-old younger brother, Zeeshan Khan Ayub Khan Khokhar, had created history by winning a bronze medal in the trap shooting competition in Bhopal a week ago. In which he represented the state of Gujarat in the junior category at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He scored 32/60 in the double trap shooting competition and 35/50 in the single trap shooting competition.
