Rickshaw drivers in Ahmedabad protested against the hike in the price of

CNG gas. The rickshaw drivers demanded that the minimum fare be increased from Rs 20 to Rs 30. The rickshaw drivers submitted a memorandum to the transport officer and the transport minister to increase the price. If their demands were not accepted in the coming days, rickshaw pullers from all over the state were gathered and threatened to protest. Rickshaw drivers protested against the hike in fares for the last four years amid rising inflation. He also threatened to boycott the next election if the prices were not increased.
