Local body elections have been held in 15 municipal corporations, 34 district panchayats, 84 municipalities and 260 taluka panchayats in the state. While the process of filing nomination papers was completed on April 11, the BJP candidates under the guidance of state president Jagdish Vishwakarma have started campaigning in 15 municipalities on Sunday, April 12. Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel garlanded the statues of Bharat Mata and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay at Kankaria in Ahmedabad and administered the pledge to all the 192 candidates.
