India Squad For Women's Asia Cup 2026: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member Indian squad for the Women's Asia Cup 2026. After the T20 World Cup 2026, there was a demand to remove Harmanpreet Kaur from the captaincy, but in the Asia Cup, the team will play under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur. Smriti Mandhana is the vice-captain of the team.
Most of the players in the Indian team for the Asia Cup have been selected who played in the T20 World Cup. Many players including Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Bharti Fulmali have reserved their place in the team. Shreyanka Patil has not made a comeback as she has not been able to recover from an ankle injury.
The schedule for the Women's Asia Cup 2026 has not yet been announced, but speculations are rife that the tournament will start in the last week of August and run till mid-September. The next few weeks are going to be very busy for the Indian team, as the Asian Games will start immediately after the Asia Cup.
