For this reason, if your phone is stolen or switched off, it can still be found. Even if the phone does not have all this technology, the police can still find out the last location of the closed phone. Because as long as the phone is on, it is connected to the mobile tower near it. This is called triangulation. As soon as the phone is turned off, the mobile company records the information of the tower where the phone was last turned on. This gives an idea of the area in which the phone was switched off.

How to avoid it

If someone wants their phone to be tracked at all after it is turned off, they have only two options. Completely draining the phone's battery, which is not possible in today's new phones. Or keep the phone in a special pouch or bag that does not allow any radio or Bluetooth signal to come out.
