Mayor Bard removed from parliamentary board: 'Opinion should be sought in ticket distribution but I am hesitant not to inform him'

While the city BJP is churning out candidates for 13 wards for the upcoming Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation elections, the office bearers of the organisation, including the city president, reached the regional office Kamalam. In which he expressed his displeasure over the exclusion of last term mayor Bharat Barad. The invitation to the important meeting of the State Parliamentary Board has sparked many discussions in political circles. Bharat Bard expressed surprise and some displeasure in his reaction to the matter. 'Don't let me know, I'm confused' In an exclusive conversation with Divya Bhaskar, former mayor Bharat Barad said, "I asked the city president from the front, but he said there was no order from the region. I am an old party worker and usually, discussions are held with the mayor along. It is to the credit of the mayor of Bhavnagar, so this time I am confused that there is a mistake somewhere as I was not informed this time. He, however, added that he was sure that there would be no malicious intent behind it. 'Only the mayor should know which corporator worked and where there was a lapse' Elaborating on the procedure of the parliamentary board, Bharat Barad said, "As the first citizen of the city, he has travelled all over the city, which corporator has done what kind of work, where he has succeeded and where there are shortcomings, only the mayor has an accurate idea of which work has been done. Therefore, it is his personal belief that the opinion of the mayor should be taken in the distribution of tickets or other important decisions.A mix of new faces and seniors This is the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is not possible to say in advance who will be elected here. I also did not know that I would become the Mayor. Whoever comes will be the best candidate. There should also be a couple of seniors along with the youth who can guide them properly. This is my personal opinion.
