The customer expressed his anger at the shopkeeper's gross negligence by saying that his younger daughter had also eaten the sweets. In the video, it can also be seen that the shopkeeper himself admitted that the insect came out of the sweet and pleaded with the customer. As the festive season begins, the health department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation has started a checking drive in sweets and farsan shops across the city. However, the checking seems to be just a formality, this serious incident has exposed the functioning of the department. The health department has revealed that they have taken samples of food items from several places. But the laboratory reports of these samples will also come only after the festival is over. That is, by the time the report comes, people will have consumed adulterated or non-edible sweets of the trader. Due to lack of timely reporting, no strict action is taken against the traders who sell sub-standard food items during the festival, which is a direct victim of the general public. More than 40 samples have also been collected in the last few days to prevent the sale of non-food items during festivals. This video has recently come to me through social media. Jashoda Dairy will be thoroughly inspected by our team. If any items including sweets are found to be adulterated or stale, then all such food items will be destroyed on the spot and a sample will also be taken. Also, if it is proved to be adulterated, strict action will be taken against the trader.
